Blogs will include information about who can access the catalogue and how to search it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to The Technical Library\u2019s website \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.techlibrary.co.za\/\">techlibrary.co.za<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click on the Library Catalogue Link on the Home Page.<\/li>\n<li>The screen will prompt you for your User ID and password<\/li>\n<li>See <em>The Technical Library Catalogue Part 1: Obtaining a User ID and logging onto the catalogue<\/em>, to find out how become a member of The Technical Library and obtain login details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have done a search there are several ways to request items from The Technical Library. You need to be logged in so that anything requested\/reserved can be identified as coming from you.<\/p>\n<p><u>Requesting\/Reserving an item<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Request directly one at a time<\/u>\n<ol>\n<li>by clicking on red arrow on LHS and submitting<\/li>\n<li>from full bibliographic record &#8211; Reserve\/Request at the bottom of the record<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><u>Selection from hitlist \u2013 one at a time or select all \u2013 tick in square box next to number<\/u>\n<ol>\n<li>View selection<\/li>\n<li>Email citations<\/li>\n<li>Send to yourself or to Luke (<a href=\"mailto:luke@techlibrary.co.za\">luke@techlibrary.co.za<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>NB enter your email address so that Luke can identify who sent the request.<\/li>\n<li>Return to hitlist<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Using the basket<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on green arrow on RHS<\/li>\n<li>Basket appears on top of screen<\/li>\n<li>Open basket<\/li>\n<li>View selection<\/li>\n<li>Email citations<\/li>\n<li>Send to yourself or to Luke (<a href=\"mailto:luke@techlibrary.co.za\">luke@techlibrary.co.za<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>NB enter your email address so that Luke can identify who sent the request<\/li>\n<li>Click on basket toggle to empty basket<\/li>\n<li>Click on <u>back arrow<\/u> to return to hitlist.<\/li>\n<li>To reopen basket click on any green arrow on the RHS.<u><\/u><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><u>Saving a search<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on Save search on top RHS<\/li>\n<li>Box will come up for you to name the search<\/li>\n<li>Saved in \u2018Saved Searches\u2019 under My Account tab<\/li>\n<li>To reopen next time, click on name of search. It will run the search again and pick up any new items added to the catalogue since you last ran the search.
